Artists Open Call

Cross Sector Inc. through its Great-itude Project proudly presents a publication, and potential dual exhibition, opportunity.  This is an open call to artists worldwide who are 18 years and older. Deadline for submission is on or before June 15, 2023.

The Great-itude Project is a new collaborative initiative that strives to support the wellbeing of every person who feels uncertain about their value, or their means to add value to a confusing and conflicted world.  Suicide rates continue to rise as does other destructive behavior - a key indicator is lack of self-esteem.

This is an opportunity to use your artistic talent to make a difference and contribute to a cause that deeply resonates to many individuals and communities around the world.  Art objects are vessels for concepts or ideas, a way to give voice to matters that are important to you, a way to encourage others on often difficult journeys.

We are seeking artwork to be published in The Great-itude Journal.  52 weekly subject essays will be offered to help readers explore ways to feel valued and appreciated (“Great”) through their actions.  Our goal is to see this publication distributed to the most vulnerable to help them become more engaged and interested in contributing to the world around them, thereby making them feel more valuable and respected within their communities and circle of influence.

The applications will be juried anonymously through the submission of digital images that reflect the weekly topics.  Artwork selected will be based on how well the artwork represents the theme provided, the quality of the work and technical skill.  This publication will provide a platform for artists to showcase their creativity and passion while advocating and acting as ambassadors for an important cause.

We look forward to seeing your submissions and creating a publication that contributes lifting up the emotional health of many individuals.  The last few years have been challenging for many – we know that this is a key role that art can play in the healing journey.
